In August 2014, was the first time I met a new friend from Germany. Her name is Sarah. She was an english teacher in enter. She was kind, good, beautiful, and friendly. She told me that it is the first time she is visitting Indonesia. In Indonesia she went to TMII, Lampung, Jogja, and soon she will go to Bali island and Lombok.

Honestly, it was a new experience in my life. I have a new foreigner friend not coming from Asia. Sarah was helping me when I got a problem in english, she always corrected.

I would like to tell you about my first hang out with her for studying english in outdoor. Me and Sarah went to Margo City by angkot. When we arrived, we were trying to look around. Sarah said she would buy a present, and then she bought a lipstick. My friends were late. Sarah and me were waiting for 30 minutes. Then my friends were coming, we moved to another place for having dinner together. We decided “recheese factory”, in here were talking about everything, and last we took pictures.

Sarah was older than me but we looked like in the same age. Sometimes she looked like my sister, my friend, and my teacher. Bytheway I called her “kakak” Sarah hehe... J

***kakak Sarah thank you for visitting Indonesia, big thanks for teaching me english, thanks... You have been my friend and my teacher. I wish your dream to be come true, success and don’t forget with your friend in Indonesia. Enjoy Indonesia!!!! J **Thank you =)**

In June 2014, I decide to take an english course for conversation in enter. Where is enter? It is near Bebek Boss, Kelapa Dua. I have been studying english for 4 months. The first time I was studying, I need to learn more because I didn’t have any vocabulary, I am afraid of  speaking, and I didn’t believe in myself. This was one of the reasons why I took a course.

My major is english literature. What should I do? If I graduate and i can’t speak english? In four months I studied about grammar and some conversation. Enter is my second family. I spent 5 days a week from monday until friday in the evening. I met so many friends in enter: students, employees, engineers, business men, and etc. We were studying english together in enter.

We were studying the basics. Together, we made a commitment to speak english everyday. Making english like a habit, remembering 25 verbs a day and we did it. My teacher is Mr Pay. He has thought me for 2 months. After that in August we started to study english with Sarah. We got a new way to speak english better. She was very helpful.
I realized because I have an oppurtunity to study english in enter. I also improved my english with telling about my study, my family, and my experience.

In 2012, was my first time to go abroad. It was organized by senior high school. When I was in senior high school, I made traditional dance for my non academiks. I spent 3 years in senior high school for studying traditional dance, and then I had an opportunity to be participated from Indonesia to “Festival Osaki” in Japan. I wasn’t alone there were eleven friends or dancers went to Japan too. In Japan we had 8 days for performing in elementary school junior high school, senior high school, and etc. We had one special day for concert “Indonesia”. We showed 5 dances from Indonesia there were Lenggang Nyai dance, Saman dance, Tabal Gampita dance, Merak dance, and Gebyar dance.

I haven’t just danced, I also studied to recycle rubbish. “Osaki” is the number one city for recycling rubbish. They were having 28 types of rubbish. It was so interesting.

In 2013, I went to “Petchaburi”, Thailand.I wanted to celebrate the King’s birthday. I performed Lenggang Nyai dance in this party. Mixed with my friends from Gunadarma University and 8 students from Petchaburi Rajabhat University. We were dancing Indonesia dance together, cool! All participated ASEAN countries came to Petchaburi for performing. Thailand is almost same with Indonesia: culture, look. The last day I went to Bangkok, I bought something like clothes and food for my family in Indonesia. In Thailand,I got a new friends, they were students and lecturers of Petchaburi Rajabhat University.

Indonesia

My name is Ayu. I am 19 years old. I am living in one of the biggest countries in the world. I call it Indonesia.

Do you know, where Indonesia is?

Indonesia is one of many countries in Asia. Indonesia has five big islands. There are Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papua. If you want to know more, you can check it in your map. You will find Indonesia between Malaysia and Australia.

Indonesia has thirtythree provinces. Everyprovince has one traditional languageand has so many cultures. But, we have one national language that is bahasa Indonesia. In my country you will find everything like beaches, lakes, mountains, flora and fauna, temples and etc. We have the most beatiful island in the world this is Bali island, Lombok island, and Bangka Belitung. In addition, you can also find Komodo in one island we call it Komodo island. That is one advantages of Indonesia.

Everycountry  has advantage and disadvantage. In Indonesia, we have some problems making indonesian people confused. First: traffic jam everywhere. Indonesia has so many people who prefer using a car or the motorcycle to go somewhere. That is one of the reasons why traffic jam happens in my country. Everyday I always get into traffic jam for 2-3 hours because university start at 8 a.m, there is a different situation if for employees they 3-5 hours a day. We have more than 20 million employees, they stop working at 5 p.m. Can you imagine? If all employees using a car to go home in the same time. How many hours do you spend to arrive? All the people in Indonesia are late because they can’t predict how the situation will become. However, using a car and the motorcycle is the best choice to go somewhere to be on time.

The second: rubbish. You can see it in some places. Rubbish making my country is like the worst. We always have to do something for saving the rubbish and trying to recycle it. Indonesian people need to care much. The third: pollution. Pollution in Indonesia is coming from people using a car and the motorcycle. The other reason is because of many factories which have bad progress for the air. That is making increasing the pollution.

The last: public transportation. Indonesia has a big amount of public transportations. We have “angkot”, trains, and etc. Some poeple who don’t have a car decide to use “angkot” or train. The angkot and a train must be repaired because the passangers feel not good in the publlic transportation sometimes, especially for foreigners. They usually comment about the puclic transportation. Sometimes they think bad, sometimes good. So, there are some disadvantages about Indonesia. We always try to make the country better.

Come on, visit Indonesia right now! Don’t worry about traffic, rubbish, pollution, and public transportation because Indonesia has some a beautiful places to visit. You can see so much Indonesia culture and see how Indonesia is a rich country in some ways.
